Board of Trustees
Voters elect 5 members to the El Dorado Union High School District Governing Board, each serving a 4-year term. The role of the Board is to provide leadership and citizen oversight of the district's schools, including setting a direction for the district, providing a basic organizational structure by establishing policies, ensuring accountability, and providing community leadership on behalf of the district and public education. Duties include, but may not be limited to, adopting a budget, approving expenditures, authorizing the hiring of personnel, approving courses of study and instructional material, and providing direction on issues and ideas presented.
