All other holidays and breaks observed by the El Dorado Union High School District are followed in this program. There is a four week summer break for the Cosmetology program.

15 credits per semester with a passing grade.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Training in theoretical, practical and all phases of hair, skin and nail care, with particular emphasis on chemistry, product knowledge and life science. Students must complete 1000 clock hours of applied effort set forth by the State Board of Cosmetology, in addition to complying with the educational standards of the Central Sierra ROP. Students will be taught the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to pass the California Cosmetology Examinations. In addition, students will become familiar with business practices and procedures used in most salons.
